The Centre for Labour Laws, NLIU hosted 3rd NLIU-Khaitan & Co. Global
Symposium on Labour and Employment Laws, 2024 on 17th-18th
February 2024 at J.S. Verma Convention Centre, National Law Institute
University, Bhopal.
The symposium provided an academic platform for comprehensive
discussion over key issues and new developments in the field of Labour
and Employment Laws. The symposium witnessed participation from
Academicians, Industry Experts and Paper Presenters from accross the
world.
The Inagural Ceremony of the Symposium was graced by the presence of
Chief Guest, Shri Sanjay Gupta, Chief Labour Commissioner, Madhya
Pradesh and Guest of Honour Shri Amitabh Prakash, Regional Fund
Commissioner.
The Symposium consisted of multiple technical sessions on various topics
including Recent Development in the Labour and Employment Law: Impact
of Technological Advancement, Workers Rights and their Enforcement: A
Global Perspective and Challenges to Enforcement of Labour Law and
Policy in India.
The Panelists who shared their insights in the technical sessions included

Malik, AOR Mr. Piyush Dwivedi, Prof. (Dr.) Bin Li, Dr. Harlida Abdul Wahab, Dr.
Md. Hashibul Alam Pradhan, Dr. Jeet Singh Mann, Prof. (Dr.) Shobha
Bhardwaj, C.K. Saji Narayanan, Dr. Manish Yadav, Dr. Hariom Awasthi and Dr.
Anita Ladha and Adv GK Chhibbar.
The symposium was concluded by the Vote of Thanks and distribution of
Prizes by our Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. S. Surya Prakash. The events was a
result of continuous efforts and hard work of the Centre for Labour Laws
team led by Chairperson Mr. Mahendra Soni and Joint Convenors Mr.
Monish Raghuwanshi and Mr. Utkarsh Goel and the guidance of our Vice
Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) S Surya Prakash.
